Why KVERX exists
There is a lot of money around AI and trading, and even more promises. Almost every tool shows you a smooth curve from the past and leaves out the important part: that it was computed on data known in advance. Anyone can overfit the past. People usually find that out at the point where they have already paid for it.
We wanted to turn that around. KVERX is a laboratory where you can get close to AI trading, build an entity of your own, give it a temperament and senses, and watch it learn — and it costs nothing, because no real money is ever traded. A mistake here costs one lesson, not a pay cheque.
Our goal is not to turn you into a trader. It is to hand you a tool in which you can see what actually goes on under the bonnet of such an AI — where its limits are, why most models do not work, and how to tell a result from a coincidence. Once you have seen that on a kverk of your own, the next chart in an advertisement has a much harder job.
The neural network, the trainer and the simulator are written by hand in TypeScript, with no third-party libraries. A model we can explain in full is a model you can one day take with you and run yourself.
