DNA and temperament
A kverk has two parts, and almost everyone confuses them. The weights are learned experience; they change every time the kverk learns. The DNA is thirty settings that lock at birth and never change again. The weights are what the kverk has learned. The DNA is what kind of creature it is.
The hypothesis is not decoration. It is the only place where you write down what you want to find out, and in two months it is what tells you whether you found it.
